RULES FOR THIS TOURNAMENT
1. As of this year, this tournament will implement the new Little League birth date cut-off rule of April 30. The rule states that if you are 14 years of age as of April 30 of this year, you are eligible to play in this tournament. This rule does imply that there may be young 15 year olds eligible to play. As has always been our policy younger players are also eligible.
2. Games are six innings or one hour, forty-five minutes-whichever occurs first-unless the game is tied. All games are played to a decision. The semi-finals and finals are six innings with no time limit. A new inning starts as soon as the last out is made in the previous inning. In the event of injury, the official scorekeeper will stop timing until play resumes.
3. A ten-run rule applies after four innings, a fifteen-run rule after three innings. The 10/15 run rule applies in all games.
4. A pitcher may pitch no more than six innings in a day and no more than 12 innings in the tournament. One pitch in an inning is considered an inning pitched. Violation of this rule results in forfeiture. The coach of each team must obtain a record from the official scorekeeper at the end of each game showing the number of innings pitched by each pitcher from that team. This record is given to the scorekeeper at the next game.
5. High-school distances and rules apply, except as stated herein.
6. There is a limit of three warm-up pitches at the start of an inning and following a change of pitchers. This may be extended at the umpire’s discretion.
7. The rule on bat weight vs length is a rule of -Three (i.e. a 32 inch bat must weigh at least 29 ounces). The barrel diameter must not exceed 2 5/8″. This is in accordance to the NFHS rule.
8. Metal cleats are allowed in this tournament. All batters, runners and players serving as base coaches must wear helmets with ear flaps. Catchers must wear throat protectors. TOURNAMENT PROCEDURE This is a pool play tournament. Pool winners advance to the semi-finals and finals on Sunday.

TIE-BREAKER PROCEDURES
If two teams are tied at the end of pool play, the winner of their head-to-head game advances. If three or more teams are tied and one team has defeated both or all of the other teams, that team advances. If that is not the case, a three, four or five-way tie goes in favor of the team which has allowed the fewest runs. If three or more teams are still tied, a flip of the coin will determine who advances. Whenever two teams remain tied, the head-to-head winner advances.

RULES FOR THIS TOURNAMENT
1) As of this year, this tournament will implement the new Little League birth date cut-off rule of April 30. The rule states that if you are 16 years of age as of April 30 of this year, you are eligible to play in this tournament. This rule does imply that there may be young 17 year olds eligible to play. As has always been our policy younger players are also eligible.
2) Games are seven innings or two hours, whichever comes first - unless the game is tied. All games are played to a decision. If the previous game has run beyond the scheduled time, the next game will start 10 minutes later. The time limit does not apply in the semi-finals or finals.
3) A ten-run rule applies after four innings, and a fifteen-run rule after three innings. This rule applies to all games.
4) All National Federation of High School (NFHS) rules will apply with the exception of pitching. Pitchers are limited fifteen (15) innings total in the tournament. There is a maximum of seven (7) innings per day per pitcher. No pitcher may throw more than ten innings in any two consecutive days. A pitcher who has thrown six (6) or more innings in a day may not pitch the following day. One pitch in any inning counts as a full inning pitched.

TOURNAMENT PROCEDURES
This is a pool play tournament. Top teams advance to semi- finals and finals on Sunday

TIEBREAKERS IN POOL STANDINGS:
1. Two-way tie. Winner of head-to-head game advances.
2. Three or more tied. If one team has defeated both or all of the the other tied teams, that team advances. If not, the team allowing the fewest runs in pool games advances.
If three or more teams are still tied, the team allowing the fewest runs in all games advances. A flip of the coin will be the third tie breaker. Whenever a tiebreaker results in two teams left tied, the winner of their head-to-head game advances.

The Stars of Tomorrow tournaments are rich in tradition, and have always been some of the Midwest’s premier youth baseball and softball tournaments.

Stars of Tomorrow Inc. is a non profit organization and has been successful for over 40 years because of community volunteers and the many teams that participate. We thank you for your team’s interest, and hope you will join us for another successful year full of memories.
