16 and Under Girls Softball

RULES SPECIFIC TO THIS TOURNAMENT
1. Age eligibility for this tournament is what your age is (16) as of January 1st of the year of the tournament. As has always been our policy younger players are also eligible.

2. Games are 7 innings or one and one-half hours unless tied. A ten-run rule applies after five innings and a fifteen-run rule after four. The 10/15 run rule applies in all games. The International tie-breaker rule will be used in ALL extra-inning games. No time limit applies in the Semi-finals or finals.

3. Pitchers are allowed three warm-up pitches at the start of an inning or following a change of pitchers. This may be extended at the discretion of the umpire.

TOURNAMENT PROCEDURES
The first two days of the tournament consist of pool play. The top two teams from each bracket will be placed in a single elimination tournament. The semi-finals and finals will be held on Sunday.

TIE-BREAKERS IN POOL STANDINGS:
Two-way tie. Winner of head-to-head game advances. Three or more tied. If one team has defeated both or all of the other tied teams, that team advances. If not, the team allowing the fewest runs in all games advances. If three or more teams are still tied, a flip of the coin will determine who advances. Whenever two teams remain tied, the winner of the head-to-head game advances.
